Help for the Weary: HR Leaders We Hear Your Cry for Help

Those of you who work providing Human Resource (HR) services in companies and organizations have long been in a difficult position – serving in between upper management (on one hand) and supervisors and front-line employees (on the other).

You feel pressure coming down from the executive team and C-suite to manage costs, fill positions, train new employees and avoid lawsuits. You also have expectations directed toward you from the general workforce to expand benefits, create a healthy, positive workplace, and facilitate conversations to resolve conflicts. (And this is true whether you are a formally trained HR professional or HR duties have been delegated to you “just because.”)

Being in the middle, with pressure coming from both ways, can make you feel “squished” with the heat constantly rising around you. Not a fun place to be.

As a psychologist who consults with companies and organizations ranging from just a few employees to global multinational businesses, I’ve been amazed at the expectations placed on those working in HR. And while new organizations (like Hacking HR) and a wide range of resources have been developed to help these team members, HR professionals still feel overwhelmed, unsupported, and often, disrespected.

Responding to the Need

At Appreciation at Work, we have provided resources, tools and training for HR leaders (and other organizational leaders) for 15 years, but  realize more needs to be done. So we are creating a new resource specifically for those who provide HR services in their organizations – to provide the support, education, and the practical tools to assist them in better serving where they work.

To launch this new area of service, we are hosting a webinar to address three of the most persistent challenges HR professionals are battling today: high turnover rates, difficulties in recruiting new team members, and successfully managing remote employees. We will also be describing the new set of services we are offering to any type of workplace, to serve and support their HR team members.

This webinar, Stronger Teams Start with Appreciation: How Intentional Appreciation Drives Retention, Recruitment, and Remote Results, will be on October 28, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. CT. There will be no charge to attend, but pre-registration is required. We will be announcing the launch of a new service we will be providing to businesses and organizations, with a special introductory discount offer for those who decide to join us.

Who do you know that will benefit from this webinar?

You may not be an HR professional or provide HR services in your role, but you probably do know individuals who would benefit from attending the webinar:

  • HR and People Leaders looking for practical solutions to persistent challenges
  • Business Owners scaling their teams
  • Leaders managing hybrid or remote staff

If so, please forward this announcement to them.

We are looking forward to continuing to build healthy, positive workplaces – and making the daily lives of our HR providers more enjoyable at the same time!
